The police have found a suicide note but have not disclosed its contents. (File) A 39-year-old yoga instructor allegedly died by suicide in Mumbai’s Kandivali, allegedly after an argument with her husband over personal issues, the police said.
According to the Samata Nagar police, on Saturday night, the woman and her husband had an argument after he said he should take yoga classes online instead of conducting them at a student’s house. On Sunday morning, the husband found her in an unconscious state and rushed her to a private hospital, where she was declared dead, the police added.
The woman is survived by her husband and two daughters.
“From the hospital, the husband took the body home and informed all the relatives. As the relatives started gathering at the house, one person tipped off the Samta Nagar police,” a police source said.
The police then visited the house and took the body to a civic-run hospital for a post-mortem. The police are now awaiting the post-mortem report to find out the exact cause of death and have registered an accidental death report.
When the husband was questioned, he claimed that he brought the body home directly as he was shocked and disturbed and unaware of the legal procedure.
The police have found a suicide note but have not disclosed its contents. Officials will also record the statements of the two daughters.
