Two youths in their early twenties drowned at Versova beach on Sunday afternoon. A group of four youths had gone to the beach to immerse certain items following a religious ceremony in their area.

“While immersing those items,the men ventured into deep sea and were swept away. While Vijay Patel and Akbar Ansari managed to swim safely to the shore,Karim Khan and Gulzar Shaikh drowned,” said a police official from the Versova police station.
