Teachers for life

"he real dignity of a man lies not in what he has,but what he is."

“The real dignity of a man lies not in what he has,but what he is.” What we are is the result of what we learn. Life would be dull without teachers. As a mark of respect to the spirit of wisdom,we celebrate ‘Teachers’ Day’. This is the day we show gratitude towards our teachers. A teacher has walked untrodden paths and works to develop us as responsible citizens of tomorrow. It is truly said that teachers are our second parents; they guide us and teach us right from the wrong. Books may be dull but teachers can make them our best friends.

Teachers’ day is celebrated on the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. This day makes the bond between teachers and students strong. It is the most special day for teachers — it’s what Children’s Day mean to us. They are honoured on this day, many competitions are arranged to make them happy. Students try their best to make this day special for them.

It is said that teachers are our second parents. Our behaviour depends on what values are taught to us at home by our family and at school by our teachers. The guidance given by our teachers is essential in our life and they deserve to be honoured and respected, not only on this day but every day. They encourage us,teach us and the most importantly, they support us. They do all that is possible to make us good and virtuous citizens.

Teachers’ day is the day we express gratitude to our teachers. It may include celebration to honour them

for their special contribution to the society. The day is celebrated in honour of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan — the second president of India. It is considered as a “Celebration” day, where teacher and students report to school as normal. Teachers’ Day is officially celebrated on 5th September.

A teacher is an architect who shapes the future of a student. I believe that the way a student acts depends on a teacher’s attitude. That is why I recommend teachers to ensure students participate in the class. The teachers must create a warm and protective environment in the class, but at the same time be professional. If students feel secure in a classroom, the result will shown in their academic progress. Teachers’ caring attitude has a positive influence.

Teachers are God’s gift to us. They teach students and impart knowledge. We should respect our teachers for they educate us. On Teachers’ Day,we show respect to those who teach us. We thank them for the knowledge they have given us.

Teachers work through the day to educate their student. They teach their students values that will help them in future. We should always respect and thank our teachers for all that they have given us to make our future bright.

On Teachers’ day,we thank them for the right path they have shown us. Someone has said respect your teacher,as he or she is greater than God. A teacher, like a parent, cares for us and teaches us good values.

Every person in the universe has a teacher. Nowadays, when parents fight or the environment at home for a student is bad,he or she needs someone to talk to. That is where the teacher comes in. A teacher not just shares knowledge, but he/she is also a mentor, guide, philosopher and most of all,a friend.

There are no words to express gratitude to a teacher as he or she is is beyond those words.

The best teacher teaches wholeheartedly with soul. A teacher encourages students who have low self-esteem.

Not only have teachers influenced me,they have also given me the zeal to live in the hopeless phases of my life.

Teachers offer us their lunch even if they have not eaten. Do we actually give them credit for their hard work? Nothing makes a teacher happier than good results. They spend sleepless nights worrying about weaker students. But what do they get in return? Disappointment and another batch of trouble-makers. Teachers are like trees; they offer good fruits to all, though some children may not deserve them.

Without your help, where would I be? Teachers ,oh! Teachers!”

When we look back at our history, how can we forget our first and great teachers — Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and his wife Savitribai Phule? They not only opened the path to education but also spread the source of enlightenment among women. Despite opposition and hardships, they felt that it was necessary and must to impart knowledge for the uplift of the country.

Teachers are the torch-bearers,they influence the life of a child. We ought to owe gratitude to teachers irrespective of subject, class, gender or field.

Just as clay needs to be moulded to be of use,a child needs to be moulded to become a better human being. Parents play a major role in our life but our teachers change our entire life.

These teachers have their own special day. Is is celebrated on 5th September — the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. On this day students, show respect to teachers and give them gifts.

Teachers are our role models and play an important role in our lives.

Teachers IMpart education. They take care of us when we are in school. They are happy when we are successful. What would happen if there were no teachers? We can’t imagine our life without them.

It is said that “The crown and glory of life is character”. Our character is built by our teachers. She guides us to the path of success without thinking of what she will get in return. It is our duty to respect and love our teachers.

As we all know,Teachers’ Day is celebrated on the 5th of September. It is the birth date of Dr S Radhakrishnan,to whom this day is dedicated. ‘Teachers’ Day’ is not just a day for the teachers to relax after a hearty celebration in school. It is a day dedicated to the teachers who supply us with knowledge.

In our school,on Teachers’ Day,there is a grand celebration and the students usually put up an entertainment programme for teachers. Teachers’ Day is important because it is for teachers who guide us,who make us what we want to be. Teachers play a major role in shaping our lives. They nurture our personality. It is not the subject that interests us,but it is the teacher — who redefines the subject. “A teacher’s purpose is not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create their own image”. It is indeed true. The best teacher teaches from the heart and not from books.

Our teachers promote the intellectual, physical, emotional and social development of each child to equip her or him for tomorrow. Teachers encourage us to arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached. They inculcate in us good values, dedication, patience,

and commitment. They teach us that achievement is a journey, not a destination.

Compared to a teacher,we have far less experience. If we are a seed, the teacher is a plant. If we are a petal, the teacher is a flower. If we are a word, the teacher is a book.
