(Express Photo by Pradip Das)While Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and the two deputy Chief Ministers did not go to Ayodhya for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple, the leaders chose to celebrate at their respective constituencies by participating in prayers and shobha yatras.
Shinde witnessed the event live at Kopineshwar temple in his constituency and participated in the celebration along with party workers. Shinde even tried his hand at the Dhol to mark the occasion.
In the evening, Shinde joined a procession from Shivaji Park at Dadar to Ram Temple at Bhoiwada where he offered prayers. The procession began with him offering tributes to late Bal Thackeray.

Deputy CM BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis was at Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Temple at Koradi in Nagpur on Monday morning where he distributed 6,000 kgs of prasad to devotees.
Ahead of the watching the consecration live, he visited Shri Ram Temple in Nagpur. He also felicitated Karsevaks who participated in the 1992 agitation to bring down the Babri Mosque at Hanuman Garhi in Amaravati. Fadnavis was also present in Nagpur on Monday night to be a part of lighting lamps.
While deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was not seen at any public event to mark the occasion, he made a celebratory statement on X about the consecration ceremony at Ayodhya.
Ajit Pawar did not participate in any public event. The Mumbai unit of his party organised a celebration outside its headquarters where it distributed sweets.
