More than a month after the Worli police recovered a female body in a jute bag from Koliwada Jetty in Worli Sea face, police on Thursday declared a reward of Rs 25,000 for the person who identifies her.
Police have reconstructed an image of her with the help of a forensic technique and circulated the picture while declaring the reward.
In its description, police said, “Unidentified girl body, age 15 to 17 years, height is 152 cm to 155 cm, skin colour – Not known as body was in sea water for many days, Built – Slim.”
The authorities further added that they had recovered the body on July 4. It was found in a jute bag following which a case under relevant sections of murder and destruction of evidence was registered.
“The body was decomposed due to sea water and her face was reconstructed with the help of forensic technique, which resulted in a tentative picture of an unclaimed dead body. In on-going investigation, the identity of the body is very crucial,” the circular read.
