An evening of verse
Prithvi House will play host to an evening of poetry on Sunday as PEN India brings three poets,Peter Waugh,Maria Elena Blanco,Enrique Moya,together for the International Poetry Festival. The poets will read one poem in their native language and more in English translation. The works of Austrian poet Waugh has appeared in anthologies and magazines in England,the USA and other countries. Moya too comes from Austria. He is the director of Latin American Austrian Literature forum and director of Latin American Poetry Festival in Vienna. Blanco is a poet,essayist and translator born in Havana,Cuba,who writes predominantly in her native Spanish.

Divine art
Artist Subrata Sen’s exhibition Divine Love is designed to appeal to the romantic instincts of art lovers in Mumbai. His second solo show is dedicated to the love between Radha and Krishna. “Art to me is a language of true emotions. I believe it has the power to take you to a world with no boundaries,no religion and no prejudice,” says Sen.

Deep blue sea
In her latest exhibition Underwater Life,artist Rakhee has done a series of paintings depicting underwater life. The 18 works will depict all aspects of life that exists beneath oceans. “The colour blue and the oceans have always interested me. My work depicts life underwater which is rather unexplored,” says Rakhee. Most of the paintings are done in various shades of blue. A touch of green portrays the sea water of Mauritius.
