Not a single farm loan waiver by PM Modi in 11 yrs: Rahul Gandhi
Gandhi said that PM Modi often claims he belongs to the OBC community, yet continuously disrespects it.

Addressing a key issue of farmers getting less than MSP prices for soybean and cotton, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday announced that farmers in Maharashtra will get a proper price for their produce.
“BJP government in Maharashtra fails to provide fair prices for rice, soybean and cotton in the state. Soybean and cotton growers in Maharashtra will get proper prices for their crop, while the poor will get health insurance if the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi’s government comes to power,” said Gandhi, while addressing an election campaign rally in Vidarbha’s Gondiya.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who waived off Rs 16 lakh crore in loans for a handful of industrialists, has not waived the loans of a single farmer in 11 years,” Gandhi said, adding that PM Modi belongs to Adani and Ambani. “He attended Ambani’s wedding, but I didn’t go because I belong to you,” he said.
Attacking the BJP, RSS, and Narendra Modi, Gandhi said, “The Constitution of the country embodies values that have stood for thousands of years. But if this red-bound Constitution is shown, Prime Minister Modi criticises it. Nowhere in this Constitution does it say to kill people or oppress the poor and farmers. Prime Minister Modi has not even read this Constitution. The BJP, RSS, and Narendra Modi continuously attack and attempt to dismantle the Constitution given by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, while Congress fights to protect it.”
Gandhi said that PM Modi often claims he belongs to the OBC community, yet continuously disrespects it. “Despite OBCs constituting 50% of the population, the Modi government allocates only 5% of funds to them, which is a true insult to the community. This is why Congress is determined to conduct a caste-based census and remove the 50% cap on reservations,” he said.
Gandhi said that the Congress has fulfilled the promises it made to the public and the MVA government will fulfill all the promises it has made in the manifesto.
