Nikam Junior to represent MoD

Aniket Nikam will represent the Ministry of Defence (MoD) before the commission set up to investigate the Adarsh Housing Society scam. Nikam will appear as the junior counsel to senior lawyer Ashutosh Rana. Dhiren Shah will continue to be the lawyer on record in the case. Aniket has been appointed by Additional Solicitor-General Darius Khambata,who represents the central Ministry of Law and Justice. He is the son of senior lawyer Ujjwal Nikam,who has appeared as special public prosecutor in many high profile cases including the ongoing case against Ajmal Kasab,the 1993 bomb blasts and the murder trial of Pramod Mahajan. Aniket has been practising since 2008.
