The police said that the case was registered on Sunday under relevant sections of cheating and conspiracy of the Indian Penal Code and The Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act 2024, after the ATS officials learnt that Pathan, Jadhav and two other absconding accused, Iranna Kongalwar and Gangadhar were part of the racket.
Kongalwar is an ITI instructor while Gangadhar is believed to be based in Delhi.
