Mumbai News Today Highlights (January 20, 2024): Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday recieved an invite to attend the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Saturday via speed post. The Shiv Sena UBT had earlier expressed its unhappiness over Thackeray not being invited for the event. The decision to send the invite through speed post has riled the party further. Upset with the way invitation was sent through a speed post, Sena UBT MP Sanjay Raut said,"Thackeray had played major and important role in the Ram Janmabhoomi agitation. Lord Ram will not forgive you and will curse for this." Meanwhile, Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange-Patil along with thousands of others on Saturday embarked on a protest march from Maharashtra's Jalna district to Mumbai to draw the state government's attention to the demand for reservation to his community, reported PTI. The protest march began from Jarange's native Antarwali Sarati village around 11 am.
