Pune temperatures climb as anticyclone hovers over region; mercury to touch 37°C

The forecast is for the morning temperatures in Pune to keep rising until it becomes 18 °C on Sunday.

IMD said minimum temperatures in Mumbai are expected to remain between 17 and 18 degree Celsius over the next few days, with a slight rise in both maximum and minimum temperatures likely between January 21 and 22.

The India Meteorological Department’s MeT centre in Lucknow Friday also issued an ‘orange alert’ for ‘very dense fog’ for over 50 districts for the next three days.

Flight movements resumed only after a marginal improvement in visibility. The first arrival landed at Chandigarh airport at 10:57 am, while the first departure took off at 12:50 pm.

This year, the morning temperatures have fallen even in the traditionally warmer areas of Pune, such as Magarpatta and Chinchwad, according to the India Meteorological Department.
