The behaviour of the Sena scion Aaditya Thackeray is said to have made Milind Deora jittery enough to take up MP Shrikant Shinde's offer.

Scions of both Sena factions seemed to have played a role in Milind Deora’s exit from Congress. While Maharshtra CM Eknath Shinde’s son Shrikant Shinde, a Lok Sabha MP, is said to have coordinated with Deora assuring him benefits of switching sides, the behaviour of the other Sena scion Aaditya Thackeray is said to have made Deora jittery enough to take up Shinde’s offer.

Deora supporters claim that Uddhav Sena’s recent rally in his home turf, or South Mumbai where they re-emphasised their claim on the LS seat, had made Deora anxious, forcing him to cross over.
