The BJP will implement a campaign in which Mumbaikars will be able to give a missed call on 90909 02024 and record their instructions for the Sankalp Patra. (File photo)To ensure greater participation of the aam aadmi (common man) in the nation’s development, the Mumbai BJP plans to reach out to them for suggestions for ‘Viksit Bharat (developed India)’ which will be incorporated in the party’s manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls.
The party will get in touch with at least 2 lakh people to understand how the city residents look at ‘Viksit Bharat’, which in turn would reflect what they expect from the party’s manifesto, their aspirations and suggestions, Mumbai BJP president Ashish Shelar told reporters at the BJP office in Dadar.
The BJP will host the ‘Sankalp Patra Abhiyan’ across the country till March 15 with the same aim. “Suggestions from citizens are sought from all over the country. These suggestions will be collected from all sections of the society,” Shelar said. Ideas from various industrial and social organisations and other undertakings will also be accepted, he added.
In Mumbai, all the office-bearers and activists of different Aghadis and Morchas will be at the forefront of the drive, reaching out to Mumbaikars and collecting these suggestions.
The party will place collection boxes at all railway stations and public places in Mumbai. Apart from this, BJP office bearers will go door-to-door to collect them.
Instructions from eminent personalities, including chartered accountants, lawyers, teachers, doctors, IT professionals, businessmen, singers, actors, sports personalities, engineers, ex-servicemen, journalists and others will also be collected. The boxes will collect suggestions from every Lok Sabha constituency in Mumbai.
The BJP will also implement a campaign in which Mumbaikars will be able to give a missed call on 90909 02024 and record their instructions for the Sankalp Patra. Also, provisions have been made to send across their suggestions from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘NaMo App’, informed Shelar.
