MHADA to set up stamp duty & digital registration centre at its office

Another official said MHADA has made the lottery process completely online eliminating human interface. Similarly, now it wants to make the process more swift post lottery announcement.

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) is setting up a stamp duty and digital registration centre at its office. With this facility, housing lottery winners need not be required to go to the property registration office, said an official.

He added that currently the housing authority is working on the process. And for all upcoming lottery draws, the facility will be available.

MHADA, meanwhile, will conduct lottery for 4,082 houses at Yashwantrao Chavan auditorium at Nariman Point at 2 pm on August 14. “The e-registration facility will not be available for this lottery draw as they are yet to finish all processes,” the official said.

For the upcoming lottery draw, MHADA Mumbai board has received over 1.20 lakh applications for 4,082 houses located at Andheri, Juhu, Goregaon, Borivali, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Powai among other places.
