A labourer from Chembur was feared to have drowned in a pit dug by MMRDA for Monorail construction. Santosh Ingawale (24),from Gautam Nagar slums,had gone to take a dip in the pit filled with rainwater. Locals raised an alarm when he didnt come out for over a minute. The body was not found till late on Sunday.
