The state cabinet will also discuss granting Rs 173.09 crore revised administrative approval to Sattar Savangi barrage in Washim district of Vidarbha region.
The Maharashtra cabinet on Friday will be given a presentation on a report of the Maharashtra State Economic Advisory Council 2023 formed in December 2022 headed by Tata group chairman N Chandrasekaran.
In July 2023, the council presented a report to make Maharashtra a $1-trillion economy over five years to the state government. Based on that report, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had said that a fast-track committee would be set up to come up with an action plan for the report.
The cabinet on Friday will be given a presentation on the report as well as the developments since the council submitted its report.
The cabinet will also grant extension to Balasaheb Thackeray Smruti Matoshree Gram Panchayat Bandhani Yojana, to fund the construction of office buildings for smaller gram panchayats, which was cleared by the state government in January 2018. Under the scheme, the state government funds 90 per cent of the cost to the gram panchayat while the latter raises 10 per cent on their own.
