Sanyukta Jadhav,who has been a regular marathoner,emerged third best in the full marathon (approx. 43 km) in the plus 40 age group with a timing of 0:58.46 secs,while winning the 10km Road Races in style in the Run-India-Run 10K Challenge,organized by Masters Athletic Association of Mumbai Suburban District at Kandivali.Incidentally,her timing was better than the womens winner Juhus Ashwini Nabar (1:03.14 ssecs) in the 30-40 age group. The correspondent event in the age group of 40-50 was won by Abhijeet Shome (men) and Jadhav (women). The case was similar in the men’s under-50 with Abhijeet Shomes timing(46mts 30 secs) proving better than the winner Sanjay Shinde’s in the men’s 30-40 category.Shinde clocked 46 minutes 56 secs,followed by Matungas Kevan Gandhi at 49:44 secs and Deepak Budhrani (51:56 secs) in that order. Nabar timed 1:03.14 secs,closely followed by Sonal Mishra and Nita Menezes.
