(PTI)Speaking at a public rally in Wardha on Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said India has not only uprooted terrorism but has also managed to elicit global support in tackling the menace under the firm and able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that what is notable is terrorists are no longer safe even in Pakistan.
The Uttar Pradesh CM arrived in Nagpur on Monday. He held public rallies at Wardha and Nagpur in the Eastern Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, which is going to polls in the first phase on April 19.
Soon after his arrival, Adityanath visited Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s residence in Nagpur. The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways is contesting from Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency. He had won from this constituency in the 2014 an 2019 Lok Sabha polls. At Wardha the BJP has fielded sitting MP Ramdas Tadas.
At the rally, Aditynath said the for the first time in the history of India, the 2024 Lok Sabha polls’ outcome is a foregone conclusion and that the people are aware Narendra Modi will return as PM for another term.

“The Modi government has given India a new identity globally. The cross border infiltration has been tackled effectively. Everybody knows any attempt to infiltrate militants will be dealt with ruthlessly. The Modi government will go inside Pakistan and take action,” Adityanath said.
“I was recently reading a British newspaper, The Guardian. It said 30 terrorists were eliminated in Pakistan two years ago. Pakistan believes it was the handiwork of India. It shows even the neighbours reckon the power of India under the Modi government. What is more interesting to notice is even a small skirmish elicits a quick clarification from Pakistan. They respond immediately to clarify they have no role in it. Unlike in the past when they would boast and own up to the action,” he said.
During his address, Adityanath emphasised on the bold measures taken under Modi’s rule, such as the abrogation of Article 370 and Ram temple in Ayodhya.
“After a long wait of 500 years, Ram temple at Ayodhya has become a reality. In UP, people often rejoiced in the folklore — Holi khele raghubira (Lord Ram is playing Holi). For the last 500 years it had remained a desire and became a reality in January 2023.”
Recalling the Palghar incident, where three sadhus were stabbed to death a few years ago, Adityanath said, “Such an incident would never have happened in Uttar Pradesh. UP has become curfew free. There are no communal riots. In the making of Rashtra, Maharashtra will play a significant role for which people will have to come forward and ensure a victory in all 48 Lok Sabha seats.”
