‘They can’t make any impact on state politics’: Cong, NCP slam KCR
NCP leader Jitendra Awhad said that the BRS’ attempts to divide votes in Maharashtra will not be successful.

Maharashtra Congress on Monday said that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) is a B-team of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and irrespective of its efforts, there will be no impact on Maharashtra politics.
“The people of the state know who benefits from the division of votes. In Telangana, the BRS party is facing a crisis and many of its leaders are joining the Congress. The Telangana pattern is just as deceptive as the Gujarat pattern,” said Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole. Patole said that it will soon start exposing the “bogus” Telangana pattern.
BRS has been trying to make inroads in Maharashtra as many farmer leaders are joining the party. At present, the Telangana CM is on a two-day Maharashtra tour with his cabinet members and senior leaders. He will visit Pandharpur to offer respects to Lord Vitthala.
“It is learnt that Telangana Chief Minister is bringing a fleet of 600 cars from Hyderabad this year to Pandharpur. Given that 10 lakh warkaris gather in Pandharpuron Ashadhi Vari, is it right for KCR to bring more people from outside? Vithoba of Pandharpur is a source of faith for all of us, it is not right for someone to take political advantage of it,” Patole said.
NCP leader Jitendra Awhad said that the BRS’ attempts to divide votes in Maharashtra will not be successful. “The voters of Maharashtra are not fools. It does not matter how big the fleet of car is accompanying KCR. It won’t impact Maharashtra politics,” he said.
