How to take bullying by the horns,tells survivor

Guinness record-holder Jon Pritikin interacts with students of Ryan International School

As part of an anti-bullying initiative,Guinness record-holder and motivational speaker Jon Pritikin interacted with students of Ryan International School,Malad,Monday.

Pritikin,who holds the world record for “the tightest circumference of two aluminium frying pans rolled together with bare hands in less than 30 seconds”,told the students how to overcome challenges such as bullying.

Pritikin grew up battling multiple speech and learning disabilities and was repeatedly bullied in his teens. In 1994,he started the non-profit organisation ‘Feel the Power’. He has so far reached out to over 3,000,000 people.

As part of Ryan International’s Life Changing Celebrity Campaign in Mumbai,Pritikin addressed students in his uniquely humorous style. He drew on his experiences to say all difficulties can be overcome.

Grace Pinto,MD,Ryan International Group of Institutions,said,“To help our students face all types of challenges in life,we have started a series of initiatives that go beyond

academics.”

She said having a bullying survivor talk to students was beneficial.
