Homeopathy Sachin

Doctor, who has been practising since 1975,holds free camps for poor.

Curing any disease is possible, believes Dr Prafull Vijayakar. Armed with this belief,Vijayakar, who has been running a clinic and practising homeopathy since 1975,decided to put his knowledge into curing ailments considered difficult to cure. This was the genesis of ‘Hope for the Hopeless’,free camps he holds every three months in Mumbai for children.

The camps are held in cities across India and the first was in Mahabaleshwar nearly a decade ago.

He says,“I want children of poor families to benefit. I do not want financial constraints of families to come in the way of treatment. I need time to cure diseases. I know results will take time and families may run out of patience. Hence the free camps.”

Chaya Shah, mother of 17-year old Aman who has cerebral palsy, says,“Doctors told me no money can cure my child. Now I have hope he will recover.” Aman, she says, has been improving.

Students flock to train under him. Mitwa Masalia,24,from Pune and Akshay Randhe,23,from Mumbai are training for the next camps.

Randhe says,“Dr Vijayakar is to Homeopathy what Sachin is to cricket.”
