Healing touch

Just what Mumbai needed — another place that’ll calm your jangled nerves and soothe you after your encounters with honking horns, rabid cabbies and endless crowds.

Just what Mumbai needed — another place that’ll calm your jangled nerves and soothe you after your encounters with honking horns, rabid cabbies and endless crowds. Yogacara, the latest in the long line of spas and healing centres, professes to be different due to its focus on traditional mental and physical disciplines. What that exactly means one can ask owner Radhika Vachani, who gave up a corporate job to open Yogacara. The exclusive preview on Tuesday saw many guests including designer Tarun Tahiliani (who came sporting a fanny pack) and Tina Tahiliani-Parikh,owner of Ensemble, model Bhawna Sharma who hung out with veteran designer James Ferreira and a barefooted Rahul Bose. Also present was chef and owner of Indigo,Rahul Akerkar, whose catering service kept the guests busy with light snacks and coolers.

Showstopper: Whether Yogacara’s massages and pranayams are effective or not,it’s serene SoBo location inMahalaxmi, right by the sea, will surely do much to soothe its clientele. Healing touch.
