Bombay High Court granted Thursday bail to Kashinath Tapuriah,a close aide of Pune businessman Hasan Ali Khan,in an alleged multi-crore-rupee money laundering scam.

was granted on medical ground. Tapuriah and Khan were arrested by the enforcement directorate for laundering more than Rs 400 crore. High Court,however,prohibited Tapuriah from leaving Mumbai without permission.

Teachers to get salaries by Aug 15

State Higher and Technical Education Minister Rajesh Tope said Thursday pending salaries amounting to Rs 750 crore of government teachers who went on a strike in April would be disbursed by August 15. Salaries will be deposited in bank accounts of the teachers. A permanent grievance redressal committee will also be set up for them, he told the Legislative Council. Tope said the eight-member committee will be chaired by him. The government had already disbursed

Rs 500 crore,the minister said.
