Municipal Commissioner and Collectors of both districts advised to avoid duplication of work,Finance Minister Sunil Tatkare said. Highlights:

TOTAL OUTLAY
Rs 49.80 crore,Mumbai city
Rs 133.10 crore,suburbs

SEA EROSION
Rs 5 crore,city
Rs 7.15 crore,suburbs

HEALTH
Rs 4.65 crore,equipment for government hospitals in Mumbai city
Rs 1.75 crore,hospital in Bandra Government Colony

NATIONAL PARK
Rs 2.46 crore,work includes construction of internal roads at Sanjay Gandhi National Park

BEAUTIFICATION
Rs 39.78 crore,lakes and gardens in suburbs

WOMEN SHGs
Rs 2.20 crore,buildings at Poisar,Juhu and Andheri

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS
* Funds for retaining walls to prevent landslides
* Development of fishing
* Funds for ITIs,work in government colleges,cremation grounds
* Improvement of slum areas

* Maharashtra Urban Infrastructure Fund,a corpus,will finance infrastructure projects,including viability gap funding of PPP ventures
* Rs 500 crore corpus for VGF,CM Ashok Chavan said at workshop organised by Centre and ADB
* Government keen on PPP for water supply,bus services,integrated road development,solid waste management,health and education. Policy for PPP in final stages
* Maharashtra Urban Infrastructure Development Company already sanctioned Rs 51 crore to fund local bodies
