A video-clip showing D K Goel, Founder Chairman of popular coaching class FIITJEE, allegedly abusing an employee in an official online meeting forum has sparked a controversy.

The video-clip is of Goel holding a virtual meeting with various centres of FIITJEE. The meeting reportedly held at least 10 days ago to allegedly discuss delayed salaries of FIITJEE employees was an open forum for employees to pose questions to Goel on their doubts.

One of the statements posted on the forum was regarding the company’s recent investment in the ed-tech industry, to which Goel can be seen reacting in anger. While it was pointed out by the employee that the information is already available in public domain, Goel is seen reacting harshly in the video.

In the video, Goel allegedly uses abusive language at one employee. He further asks another employee to “throw-out” the person.

According to sources, FIITJEE employees are struggling with salary delays for past five months. The online video meet with Goel was to provide employees a platform to discuss their doubts with the management.

An email sent to FIITJEE on its official address did not elicit any response.
