Dhol tashas come out and scarfs flung in air as protesters started celebrating in Mumbai
When asked about the time spent in Mumbai, Mane said they slept on the roads but did not mind it that much.

SOON AFTER Manoj Jarange-Patil agreed to call off his fast, chants of ‘jinklo re’ (we won) and ‘Patil’ started reverberating outside Azad Maidan where thousands of Maratha protestors had gathered demanding reservation.
Soon dhol tashas came out and gamcha (scarfs) were flung in the air as protestors started dancing to celebrate their victory.
Shubham Suryavanshi from Sambhaji Nagar, one of the revellers said, “Celebrations will take place here now and as we return, there will be separate celebrations in every village for victory. The celebrations will not stop. We will leave from here once Jarange-Patil says so.”
Another reveller Vinod Mane from Beed said, “I just got a call from my village. They have said they have arranged for garlands and called for dhol tashas there. They have told us that once we reach, we will be welcomed like heroes. There will be non-stop celebrations. We are getting so many calls from our villages and everyone there is happy that our effort has fructified.”
When asked about the time spent in Mumbai, Mane said they slept on the roads but did not mind it that much. “Even in our villages, we sleep in our fields sometimes, so it was not that much of an issue. While there was a minor inconvenience but it was for a larger cause,” he said.
Natha Patil, 32, from Gangakher village of Parbhani district, was dancing continuously outside the BMC headquarters on Tuesday after hearing that the government accepted the demand.
“More than hundred people came from my vicinity to Mumbai along with Manoj Jarange-Patil to participate in the protest. After several years, finally the government accepted our demand and we are very happy. Once we receive the GR, we will leave the city to our village. The poor people have struggled a lot,” said Patil.
