‘Decision on illegal structures in Thane soon’

Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on Thursday assured Shiv Sena and BJP leaders that the government would take a decision related to cluster redevelopment in Thane.

Sena president Uddhav Thackeray led a delegation to Mantralaya to express concerns over lack of decision over five lakh illegal structures in Thane.

BJP leader Vinod Tawde said,“Chavan assured the government was pursuing the matter and decision would be taken within a month.”

Thackeray told Chavan,“The government needs to take a humanitarian view on the matter. If any step to demolish the structures is taken,it would evoke mass unrest.”
