St Francis D’Assisi ‘A’ got their season off to a perfect start with a convincing 3-0 win over a hapless Bombay Scottish ‘A’ outfit on the opening day of the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) boys’ under-16 Division I league at the MSSA centre on Monday. Danny John was the star of the show,scoring a brace,while Kamlesh Sonawene scored the third goal for D’Assisi.
St Dominic Savio were equally comprehensive in their 2-0 defeat of St Joseph from Wadala with Nikhil Pal and Sherwin Quadros netting a goal each. The clash of the heavyweights between Matunga’s Don Bosco and Campion School,however,ended in a goalless draw.
