The Bombay High Court has directed a woman, whose husband has absconded with their four-year-old child,to publish their photographs in the media.
A Division Bench of Justice Ranjana Desai and Justice Rajesh Ketkar has asked petitioner Priti Chug to publish the photographs of her husband Bunty and child Sujal in Hindi,Sindhi and English newspapers and approach the news channels as well.
We have been asked to publish their photographs in the media, said Pritis lawyer Soniya Miskin.
The Crime Branch which had taken over the investigation informed the court on Monday that they have applied before the Ulhasnagar Magistrates court for conducting narco test on the husbands family members.
The court had earlier expressed concern about piling cases of missing children .
Priti had moved the HC after her husband Bunty, who runs a powerloom business in the city, allegedly absconded with son Sujal (four-and-a-half-years-old) on November 14,2008,the day Priti was supposed to get the custody of the child following earlier court orders.
Following court notice, father and brother of Bunty remained present in court and after being quizzed by the court said that they did not know where their son and grandson were. Justice Desai, however, refused to believe them and cautioned that they would get into big trouble if things turn otherwise. Justice Desai also said that they would not hesitate to bring in the CBI if need be.
The High Court had directed the Crime Branch to make vigorous efforts to trace the child.
After numerous court proceedings in the lower court and the high court,it was ordered in October 2008 that the custody should be handed over to the mother.
Priti now fears that he might leave the country with her child as he has connections in Dubai and Germany.
