A husband-wife were found dead Wednesday after they argued the previous night.
Police said Rekha Bhise (40) was found on the tetra-pods at Worli Sea Face opposite Worli Dairy at noon. She was declared brought dead at Poddar Hospital and the body was sent to BYL Nair Hospital for postmortem.
She had suffered mid-parietal head injuries, said a doctor at Poddar Hospital.
Inspector Amol Kadam of Worli police station said,The head injuries were caused by the body repeatedly hitting the rocks near the shore.
Late Wednesday,Rekhas husband Ganesh (45) was found dead at the fishermen colony in Worli Koliwada.
Police said the couple lived on the Mahakali Road pavement.
Ganesh would become abusive and violent after consuming alcohol. He may have pushed her to suicide, said Kadam.
Neighbors said the couple had a heated argument Tuesday around 11.30 pm after which the husband walked away in anger.
His body was found floating in water at 9.30 pm Wednesday.
We have confirmed the man whose body was found in Worli Koliwada was Ganesh, said Dhananjay Kulkarni,DCP,zone V.
