Eknath Shinde intervenes to end verbal spat between Sena leaders over LS seat
According to the sources, CM Shinde cracked whip on Kadam for his statements against Kirtikar and said that he should avoid speaking in the public forum.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde Tuesday met Shinde Sena leaders Gajanan Kirtikar and Ramdas Kadam who were engaged in slugfest over the Northwest Mumbai Lok Sabha seat for the past few days.
According to the sources, CM Shinde cracked whip on Kadam for his statements against Kirtikar and said that he should avoid speaking in the public forum.
Kirtikar had initially met CM Shinde and discussed the issue after which Shinde summoned Kadam to his residence “Varsha” and discussed the issue with him.
A source said Shinde told Kadam that if he has any issues about the party or any of the party’s leaders then he should discuss it with the party leaders and not to speak in the public or in media.
After meeting Shinde, Kirtikar said, “I will not reply to the allegations made by Kadam now. I have apprised our party chief about this. Curtain has been drawn on the issue from my side. It would not be better to speak like this in public since it would send a wrong message to the public.”
Kadam said that the issue between him and Kirtikar is over and he will not discuss about it.
“But I only advice Kirtikar to speak to party leaders if has any issues with me instead of speaking it public. Making such allegations against me through the press note was not in good taste and hence I had to reply to those criticism,” Kadam said adding that the candidate for North West Mumbai Loksabha constituency will be Kirtikar only.
A war of words had erupted between Kadam and Kirtikar over the candidature of Mumbai North-West Lok Sabha constituency which Kirtikar represents in the lower house.
While Kirtikar has staked a claim on the Mumbai North-West seat since he is the sitting MP, Kadam is batting for his son Siddhesh from the same constituency.
Kadam had raised questions over Kirtikar’s loyalty to the Shinde-led Shiv Sena since his son Amol is still with rival Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray).
Speculation are rife in the political circles that to counter Kirtikar in the Lok Sabha election, the Sena (UBT) is likely to field his son Amol against him and the battle would be between the father and son.
Meanwhile, political observers said the open spat between the two senior Shinde-led Sena leaders over the Mumbai North-West Lok Sabha seat has come as a major embarrassment to Shinde who is trying to keep his flock together and show a united front against his rival Uddhav Thackeray.
