The chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday said the government is not going to compromise on corruption in administration or public life. He said, “ All the corruption cases will be reviewed by chief secretary every week. This is to ensure not a single case related to irregularities is kept pending.”
The chief minister said, “ Any such file that has come to me is cleared within 24 hours. This sets the pace for further investigation by the concerned authorities and investigating department.” Till now assets worth Rs 34 crore of people found guilty have been freezed. The power of issuing suspension order has been issued at administrative levels.
He indicated that government has taken action against all the 33 officials found guilty in various cases.
Right to Service Act in budget session: To bring greater accountability in the administration, he also assured to bring the right of service act in the ongoing budget session before April 10. In the first phase, provision will be made to ensure 150 services are covered under the act. Any individual can avail the right to service act.
MLAs/MLCs will host the flag: All the members in the state legislature assembly and council will be allowed to host tri-colour flag in local bodies namely municipal corporations and councils in their respective districts from May 1. The chief minister Devendra Fadnavis announced the decision on state assembly. He said, “ Whether it is August 15, January 26 or May 1 (Maharashtra Day), elected members can be the chief guest and host national flag in local bodies offices in their respective areas.”
