1 min readProducer Sudhakar Bokade died Saturday following a heart attack. He was 57. He is survived by daughters Divya and Kiran and son Krishna. Bokade,who produced several blockbusters in the 1990s,including Saajan,was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital,Andheri West,Saturday after he complained of chest pain and breathing problem. The last rites were performed Monday evening at the Oshiwara crematorium.
Power block hits WR services
Western Railway (WR) carried out a power block at Borivali station from 6.20 pm to 8.20 pm Monday to remove a partially uprooted tree,leading to cancellation of 12 services and 70 delays. Railway authorities said the block was necessary to avoid mishaps.
Power failure at Thane station
Suburban commuters at Thane railway station faced incovenience Monday due to intermittent power failure between 10.30 am and 11.45 am. This affected functioning of ticket booking offices and platform indicators.
