In the first match of the day,Maharashtra State Police maintained fine run of form as they overcame a spirited challenge from Companeroes winning by a close 4-3 margin. Amjad Khan got two goals while Sandeep Badkar and Imran Shaikh scored the other two goals. Raynier Fernandes,Subodh K and Vinay Sarda were the goal scorers for Companeroes.

Blanka slams four

Defending champions,Fr. Agnel Gymkhana outplayed I.C. United 8-0 in a Group-A match of MDFA organized Bombay Gymkhana-Women’s Football League played at the Bombay Gymkhana ground on Monday.

The highlight of Fr. Agnel’s win was striker Blanka Barretto,who helped herself to four goals. Sujitha Murgaonkar netted two and Gracy Rodrigues and Michelle Castana netted one each to complete the tally.
