CBSE class X results announced

Around 13,28,970 candidates appeared for its class X board exam this year, of which 7,93,940 were boys and 5,35,030 were girls.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced its class X results for the Chennai region, which covers Maharashtra and nine other states on Monday.

While individual schools have received the results, the official pass percentage of the region will be declared only on Tuesday morning along with the results of other regions.

Around 13,28,970 candidates appeared for its class X board exam this year, of which 7,93,940 were boys and 5,35,030 were girls.

Out of the total number of students, 452 were  visually impaired, 788 were dyslexic, 232 were hearing and speech impaired and 1,527 were physically challenged. This year, 161 spastic and 20 autistic children also appeared for the examination.

CBSE gives students the option of choosing between Board-based and school-based examinations in class X, the difference being the paper correction is carried out by the Board in case of the former.

In Mumbai, Sankalp Alone of Arya Gurukul in Kalyan topped his school with a score of 98.8 per cent while Asutos Mohapatra, from R N Podar school, topped his school with 97.6 per cent.
