A sessions court on Friday rejected the bail application of dismissed senior police inspector Pradeep Sharma arrested in the Lakhan Bhaiyya fake encounter case. Sharma,an encounter specialist of Mumbai Police Crime Branch,is facing charges of killing Ram Narayan Gupta alias Lakhan Bhaiyya,allegedly a Chhota Rajan gang member,in a fake encounter in November 2006.

Harbour Line services disrupted
Local train services were disrupted on the Harbour Line of the Central Railway on Friday after the pantograph of a goods train got entangled with the overhead wire. Four trains were cancelled and it took over an hour for getting the damage repaired.

S Mudgerikar,Chief Public Relations Officer,CR,said,“Only trains between Kurla and CST on the harbour line were late. Trains at main line were normal. Services were normal after 5 pm.”
