BJP gets new jumbo team in Maharashtra

The party has also appointed 288 coordinators to represent each assembly constituency.

The Maharashtra BJP on Wednesday announced a new team comprising 16 vice-presidents, six general secretaries, 64 members, 236 special invitees and 512 invitees.

State BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Wednesday announced the new jumbo team at the party headquarters in Mumbai.

The list of general secretaries include Randir Sawarkar, Madhavi Naik, Sanjay Kenekar, Vikram Patil and Murlidhar Mohol, while the prominent appointees in secretary post are Varsha Dahale, Arun Munde and Mahesh Jadhav. State party treasurer will be Mihir Kotecha, while party office incharge will be Ravindra Anaspure.

Among region wise coordinators are Upemdra Kothekar for Vidarbha, Makrand Deshpande for Western Maharashtra, Sanjay Kaudge for Marathwada, Shailesh Dalvi for Konkan and Hemant Mhatre for Thane.

The party has also appointed 288 coordinators to represent each assembly constituency. Speaking at the function, Bawankule said, “The party has undertaken massive outreach programme to cover more than three crore people… The BJP has is a big party and is expanding further… To reach the Centre and state governments and enforce party plans, we want to ensure participation of larger number of karyakartas and leaders.”
