Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi president Prakash Ambedkar on Tuesday claimed NCP minister Chhagan Bhujbal was released from jail because he had questioned the judiciary over keeping Bhujbal in jail.

Speaking to mediapersons in Mumbai, Ambedkar said, “I speak what is right. I don’t have to compete with anybody for vote bank or OBC leadership… When Bhujbal was in prison for two years nobody uttered a word. I spoke against the decision to keep him in prisons. I questioned the role of judges in his case. After my public attack, Bhujbal was released the next day.”

Unfortunately, Ambedkar added, Bhujbal has not thanked him.

The VBA leader also said, “Everybody knows I was the first to champion the cause of OBCs in Maharashtra.”
