Dadar residents Shubhangi and Nitin Thakur on Saturday moved the High Court,alleging that Additional Director-General of Police,ACB,Vijay Kamble,had assaulted Nitin along with a woman who ran a beauty parlour next to his house.
Defending Kamble,advocate-general Ravindra Kadam told the court that the senior police officer was there just to dye his hair. In their petition,the couple alleged that there was a legal dispute between them and Neela Thakoor,Trusha Thakoor,Sujata Karnad and Mikhail Bose who lived in the apartment next to theirs on Ranade Road Extn.
On March 11,2011,around 11.30 am when Shubangi was at the shop run by the couple,Kamble along with Thakurs neighbours allegedly entered their house and assaulted Nitin. Thakur has contended that the beauty parlour run by them is unauthorised. Thakurs lawyer Omkar Warange sought adjournment till next week. Thakur has urged the court to direct the Shivaji Park police to register an offence against Kamble and his neighbours besides transferring the probe to the CID.
