This is the first visit of Shah to Pune after Ajit Pawar-led NCP joined the BJP-Sena coalition government in the state on July 2.

“Shah’s visit to Pune is related to the cooperative sector. From challenges in the cooperative sector to reforms, various aspects would be discussed,” said a BJP leader. The state is founded on the strong cooperative network, which helped its development in the past six decades.

Shah’s visit to Pune also comes shortly after PM Narendra Modi visited the city on August 1 where he was bestowed with prestigious award by the Lokmanya Tilak Trust.
