After Karnataka defeat, BJP is scared and doesn’t want to face polls now: Sanjay Raut
Raut also took a dig at the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Karnataka poll results.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said Monday that the BJP is in shock after its defeat in the Karnataka Assembly elections as he dared the party to announce the dates for the civic body polls in Maharashtra.
“After the Karnataka poll defeat, the BJP has been terrified. I feel that now the real dictatorship will begin in the country. Because the BJP is scared to face elections and hence the Centre led by the BJP will keep postponing them. This is called a dictatorship. They won’t announce polls to the 14 civic bodies that are pending for the past two years. I challenge the BJP to face these elections,” Raut said.
“… If the CM, DCM, and the Centre have the guts to face the people then they should fake elections to all the civic bodies, including that in Mumbai, together. We are ready for it, but you don’t have the courage to do that,” he added.
Raut also took a dig at the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Karnataka poll results.
“They keep doing Operation Lotus across the country, but in Karnataka, they have failed. The petals of the lotus have failed. Despite using all the machinery, PM Modi and Shah could not manage to win over 70 seats,” Raut said adding that the people of Karnataka have stood behind the Congress and given a message to the people of the country.
The Sena (UBT) leader also said he will keep opposing the usage of EVMs for voting. “Even as the Congress has won the Karnataka elections, our opposition to EVMs will be there. We will win Maharashtra too but we want ballot papers during voting,” Raut said.
