THE MUMBAI police Tuesday arrested a 38-year-old man for allegedly raping and assaulting a 64-year-old woman at her residence in the early hours of Tuesday. The accused who had a prior case of sexual assault against him was arrested by the local police on Tuesday and produced before a court that remanded him to police custody.
An officer said that the woman, who sold wares as a profession had set up shop outside a spiritual event being conducted in the eastern suburbs of the city.
