25-year-old stabbed

A twenty-five-year-old resident of Jogeshwari suffered multiple injuries after being knifed and beaten up allegedly by four brothers late on Monday night.

A twenty-five-year-old resident of Jogeshwari (East) suffered multiple injuries after being knifed and beaten up allegedly by four brothers late on Monday night. Police said the attack was motivated by a monetary dispute. The Meghwadi police have arrested three of the brothers,and are on the lookout for the fourth.

The victim has been identified as Anil Balasaheb Kasbe,who resides in the Sitawadi area of Jogeshwari (East). He suffered multiple knife wounds and injuries,and has been admitted to Cooper Hospital. Police said his injuries needed 42 stitches on his back and 12 on his hand.

The four accused have been identified as Ajay Sakat (20),Govind (25),Gautam (23),and Vijay (20). While the police are tracing Vijay’s whereabouts,the other three brothers were arrested on Tuesday. According to officers probing the case,Kasbe was involved in a financial dispute with the accused,and had a heated argument with Vijay over the phone on Monday. Following this,two of the brothers showed up at his doorstep at 8 pm,and began assaulting and abusing Kasbe.
