Robbery bid at Punjab National Bank, case registered

The bank staff came to know about the it in the morning and lodged a case with the Salem Tabri police station.

A loot bid was reported from Punjab National Bank at Bahadurke road late on Saturday.

The thieves broke walls of the bank and entered the premises and then tried to break the wall of strong room but failed.

The bank staff came to know about the incident in the morning and lodged a case against unidentified accused with the Salem Tabri police station.

Surinderpal Grover manager of the Punjab National bank said that he left the bank around 7pm and the next morning they found a hole dug in the sidewall.

On being informed Salem Tabri police reached the spot and initiated investigation in the case.

At the time of incident no security guard was deputed in the bank. Police scanned the CCTV footage of the cameras and found that two persons entered the bank and attempted to break the strong room lock but failed.

A case  has been registered under Sections 457, 380 and 511 of Indian Penal Code.
