NGO adopts 7 thalassaemic children

NGO Salaam Zindagi Foundation adopted seven thalassaemic children on Sunday. Manjit Saini,President of the NGO,said,“Salaam Zindagi will provide them support regarding requirement of blood,medical expenditure and cost of education so as to make self dependent. The NGO will also meet their requirement for blood.”

Saini said the seven children include Khushi (8),Prabhjot (5),Jaspreet (5),Ragini (2),Rajni (12),Rohit (10) and Dinesh (14). He said,“We have decided to adopt 24 more children. We will adopt these kids at a function on August 8 at the SCD Government College for Boys.”

While Anurag Kalhan,General Secretary of the NGO,said,“There are 230 thalassaemic kids in Ludhiana and we plan to adopt all of them in a phased manner.”
