Three miscreants looted an elderly woman on the pretext of giving her lift in Haibowal area on Sunday. They took away her four gold bangles. The incident happened during the daytime. The victim,Rama Nayyar,a resident of Jagat Nagar in Jassian area,was on her way back after attending a religious function on Hambran road. A car stopped near her and two women and one man in the car offered her lift. In the car,the women cut her four bangles and left her near her home. When the victim reached her house,she informed the police. Haibowal SHO Amarjit Singh said that the woman was not able to recall the number or name of the car. The police registered a case against unidentified persons. Singh added that they were trying to procure CCTV footage from the cameras installed near the place.
