The seventh annual conference of Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine,Punjab Chapter,was organised by the Department of Community Medicine at Dumra Auditorium of DMCH.

The seventh annual conference of Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM),Punjab Chapter,was organised by the Department of Community Medicine at Dumra Auditorium of DMCH. More than 200 doctors across Punjab and adjoining states participated in the conference.

The conference was inaugurated by Amrit Nagpal,vice-president,managing society,DMCH,by lighting the lamp.

Dr Daljit Singh,principal,DMCH,highlighted the theme of ageing and health and congratulated the department on organising such an event. Dr Kulwant Singh,member of Punjab Medical Council,and Dr S S Deepti,secretary general of IAPSM,Punjab chapter,also shared their views with the audience.

The keynote address on international concern for elderly was delivered by Dr Sunder Lal,professor & head,Department of Community Medicine,Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (AIMSR),Bathinda.

The Mahagathbandhan alliance in Bihar is set to release a joint manifesto, which will include promises such as setting up hostels and degree colleges for OBC students, implementing land reforms, and prioritising rape survivors' access to medical reports. The manifesto will also address issues faced by EBCs and ensure fair trials and speedy justice for rape survivors.
