Chaman Singh,a resident of Noorwala road,Sartaj Nagar,on Thursday alleged that SAD MLA Ranjit Singh Dhillon along with his accomplices ransacked his home and stole items because he refused to vacate his house.

Singh, who filed a complaint with the Police Commissioner, addressed a press conference at Basant Resorts. “We purchased our new home in Sartaj Nagar in an open auction that was organised by IndiaBulls Housing Finance Company on October 30,2012. The company also gave us physical possession of property after which we shifted there but since that day Dhillon has been threatening us to vacate the house or face consequences.”

Singh alleged that around 5 pm on August 23 when his family was not at home,Dhillon along with his accomplices trespassed on his home and broke the locks.

“They took away Rs 20,000,a washing machine,LCD,double bed, four chairs, table and other articles from our home. Then my brother Pawan got a call from one of the accused that if we do not vacate the house,we have to face death or our name will be involved in fraud and frivolous cases as they are very influential people,” said Singh.

However,when contacted,MLA Dhillon said,“It is a planned conspiracy against me. I don’t know

any Chaman Singh or even location of his house. I

don’t have any concern with these people.”
