The Ludhiana Police and Ideacts Innovations,a cyber café solutions company that develops innovative and unique internet applications,addressed around 100 cyber café owners of the city and jointly participated in an interactive session on cyber café security and management. On this occasion,a cafe visitor data software was also launched.

The event,conducted at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital auditorium,was attended by DCP Pramod Ban and ADCP Harsh Bansal and other key police officers. It was organised with the objective to make cyber café owners aware about the misuse of cyber space in various anti-national and criminal activities and the problems faced by all stakeholders in reporting such crimes.

Harsh Bansal,ADCP,Until now,most cyber cafes maintain café visitor data in registers which is not only inadequate information but also difficult to retrieve when required and a cumbersome task for cafes. Cyber cafes have been used by anti-social elements in the past in India and securing them is most important.
