40-year-old arrested for raping minor daughter of employer

A 40-year-old man from Qila Mohalla was booked by Daresi police on Thursday for raping a 10-year-old daughter of his employer. As per the victim’s mother,the accused,Inderjit Singh,took the girl on pretext of showing her kittens and then he raped her in his room. A case against the accused under sections 376,366-A of the IPC and Section 4-A of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act,2012,was registered against the accused. He works at the hosiery unit of the victim’s father.

According to the victim’s mother,the accused on Wednesday evening lured her 10-year-old daughter and 8-year-old niece on the pretext of showing them kittens. The accused took the girls to his room,where he sent her niece to fetch milk for the kittens. As her niece left the room,the accused raped her daughter. Daresi SHO Sanjiv Kapoor said the accused had been arrested on the complaint of the victim’s mother.
